Founded in 1979 we have grown
from 2 stations to 5 stations and have some of the finest
equipment in the fire service. We are located in Harris
County Texas just west of Houston and cover an area of
approximately 45
square miles with a population over 85,000 residents.

Here is a video
that was used during the recent West I-10 FD "Recruitment
Night". The West I-10 Fire Department is a department
you can join; we come from all walks of life and enjoy
serving our community. If you would like more
information about joining us please look on the left side of

On July 19th the
West I-10 Fire Department along with West Harris County EMS
responded to an accident with entrapment at the intersection
of Kingsland Blvd and Provincial. Engine 2, Rescue 1,
Medic 2 and District Chief 2 responded.
After stabilizing
the SUV, personnel were able to extricate the occupant.
The driver was assessed by the paramedics on scene.
This year, the
West I-10 Fire Department was honored to be part of the many
4th of July parades. Here are pictures from some of
